The International Journal of Civil Service Reform and Practice (IJCSRP) is committed to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record. When necessary, the Journal will publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Corrections

If a published article contains errors that do not invalidate the research findings but may affect the clarity, interpretation, or accuracy of the publication, the Journal will publish a correction (Erratum or Corrigendum).

Examples include:

• typographical, formatting, or production errors that materially affect the understanding, interpretation, attribution, or indexing of the article;
• incorrect author affiliations;
• errors in figures, tables, or references;
• minor factual inaccuracies.

Minor typographical or formatting errors that do not affect meaning, interpretation, attribution, or indexing may be corrected in the online version without a formal correction notice, subject to editorial discretion.

Corrections are linked to the original article and are published as soon as possible after the error has been confirmed.

An Erratum may be issued for an error introduced by the Journal during production. A Corrigendum may be issued for an error originating from the authors.

Retractions

A published article may be retracted when there is clear evidence that:

• the findings are unreliable due to misconduct or honest error;
• plagiarism has occurred;
• the article has been published elsewhere without appropriate disclosure or permission;
• data have been fabricated or falsified;
• ethical standards have been seriously violated;
• the peer review or publication process has been manipulated.

Retraction decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board and, where appropriate, the authors and their institutions.

The retracted article will remain available online to preserve the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as "Retracted." The original article will not be removed or replaced, except in exceptional circumstances involving legal requirements, serious privacy risks, or public safety concerns.

A retraction notice explaining the reasons for the retraction will be published and linked to the original article.

Requests for correction or retraction may be submitted by authors, readers, reviewers, editors, institutions, or other parties with relevant evidence.

Expressions of Concern

If there is inconclusive evidence of research or publication misconduct, or if an investigation is ongoing, the Journal may publish an Expression of Concern until a final decision is reached.

The Journal follows the COPE Retraction Guidelines and COPE Core Practices when handling post-publication corrections and retractions.
